ENVIRONMENTAL TESTING:
To help keep
you and your family healthy Edifice Inspections, Inc. provides
environmental testing for mold and radon.
|
MOLD:
Since the recent media attention homeowners and buyers
have become increasingly concerned about the health effects of mold. As
is often the case, increased concern has given rise to misinformation
and misunderstandings about mold and mold testing.
|
|
|
The
inspectors at Edifice have all been certified by The
Environmental Solutions Association
(ESA) to detect mold and/or the red flags that
indicate the existence of mold. At the same time we educate our clients
about mold and mold related health issues so that you can make informed
decisions.
|
| Screening for mold and red flags is a routine part of our
inspections. If signs of mold, or the conditions that give rise to mold
growth, are noted during the inspection your inspector will make
appropriate recommendations for additional testing. |
RADON:
For faster testing results we now offer
radon testing using a continuous radon monitor
|
|
Radon is a
radioactive gas that comes up through the soil and enters the house. The U.S.
Surgeon General estimates that 20,000 Americans die of radon-related lung cancer
each year and the World Health Organization says that radon causes 15% of lung
cancers worldwide. Radon is the number one preventable health threat in the
nation. The EPA and the surgeon general recommend that all
homes be tested for radon.
You should know
whether there are elevated radon levels in your future home.
|
 |
|
Edifice Inspections, Inc can provide the convenience of
radon testing at the time of your whole house inspection or as an individual
service. With radon testing you can have the peace of mind that your house does
not pose a threat to the health of you and your family.
